Why do we value words more than deeds ?

posted in Freedom, Politics, Society |

Explain this to me like I am a three-year old: When a moron stands in front of a crowd of more morons and talks nonsense, what difference does it make to our daily lives ? Do we really need to make a big fuss of this ?

The people who ran and organized mobs during the 1984 riots, the Gujarat progrom, the Singur killings…I am sure these people are either standing for elections or campaigning fiercely for their respective parties. We don’t utter a word about these people.

The people who are behind the cattle-fodder scam (this is the great-indian rope trick…Rs. 850 crore vanish into thin air and nobody says a word ! ), the people behind the Taj corridor, the lady with a thousand pair of shoes bought with tax payer money…these people are the prime candidates for our next cabinet.  We don’t utter a word about these people.

But we have plenty of time and venom against a jerk who is only capable of mouthing off useless crap.

Now, why is that ? Please explain to me like I am a three-year old.
